Description
Hanger bolts are used for fastening to trapezoidal sheet metal, corrugated and corrugated sheet metal roofs with a wooden substructure. The length of the screw depends on the local conditions, this depends on the bead height, batten height if applicable and insulation.
An additional adapter plate is screwed between the two upper locking nuts and serves as a base for the connection to the mounting rail.
When installing hanger bolts on Eternit roofs, an aluminum calotte should also be used if structural verification is required in accordance with building authority approval.
The solar fastener always consists of two separate parts (unlike hanger bolts for wood-UK). The length of the lower section incl. EPDM seal is determined on site according to the required clamping area. The clamping area is the distance between the screw-in point on the steel beam and the contact point of the EPDM sealing disc, e.g. the high point of the upper bead. The lower part of the solar fastener should be at least 2 cm longer than the clamping area. The thread of the solar fasteners is no longer than 7 cm, even with the longer lengths, as it is only screwed into the wooden beam by a few mm at the end. The upper part, the metric thread, is always 50 mm long with an M10 thread for fastening the adapter plate. The adapter plate should always be mounted as close as possible to the roof so that the leverage effect is as low as possible.
