Description
The slide-in connector is the “standard” connector for our profile rails. The connector is compressed in the middle so that it cannot disappear into the profile. Installation is done by inserting the first profile and pushing the second profile onto it with force. With our connectors for the 40×40 profile, we recommend using two connectors per connection (only one for profile 9664-Profiness15O).
An additional, external screw connection of the 40×40 connectors with self-drilling screws is possible, but not absolutely necessary if the profile to be connected is connected in the centre of the edge.
As only one connector can be inserted into the Profiness15O profile, we recommend additional fixing with two self-drilling screws (5.5x 38 mm).
For 80×40 and 40×20 profiles, only one connector is required per connection point. However, the slide-in connectors of the 80×40 and 40×20 profiles should also be screwed from the outside (with thin sheet metal self-tapping screws 6.3 x 25 or 5.5 x 25 DIN 7504), otherwise they may slip through.
